Gurgaon, one of the four major satellite cities of Delhi, came into existence on 15 August, 1979. It is the sixth largest city of Haryana with a population of about 228,820 according to the census of 2001. The district is the southern most part of Haryana and it shares its southern boundaries with the sates of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Alongside, the city has attracted a number of companies providing software solutions, IT & telecommunication services and retail merchandising. A real estate boom has seen the construction of numerous villas, condos and hi-end apartments in the city. At present, Gurgaon is the most sought-after part of the National Capital Region and the real estate prices scaling new heights each other day.
